About Me

My journey to becoming a child and adolescent therapist began when I trained to be a foster parent. I decided that I wanted to work with children and young people who were having a difficult time. During my training I worked with children and young people in schools and in care homes. This fuelled my interest in working with children and young people who have experienced difficult childhoods and have complex emotional needs. Currently I run a therapeutic service for a local authority’s care leavers’ service.

In my experience working in schools, care homes and private practice, I have frequently seen the challenges faced by the neurodivergent. As a late-diagnosed autistic person I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent young people.

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in advertising for many years. My interests include reading, film, theatre, dance, fashion and history.
